Indy Ink 10 Year Show

So Saturday me and my lady went down here:

To check out their 10 year anniversary art show and drink some adult beverages and pretend to be intellectual. I have to say the show was great, despite some of the artists putting up prints instead of original work. I mean if you have to put one piece in a show you really just pull from old stuff? That’s pretty damn weak. I understand if it’s a solo show, but come on…
I won’t bore you with every piece, so here are my top 4:

Axel Geittmann always has some of my favorite work. I have some of his old stuff but his style and hand keep improving.

If you know Mike Graves you can probably recognize his style from across the room. His work is always amazing, playful, and extremely well done.

Dave Sheets. Incredible pen work, great color work, and very on point contemporary subject matter. Extremely well done.

I didn’t catch the name of this artist but this work was very intriguing. I absolutely love when people experiment with productions methods. Something as simple as a back-lit layered piece can truly draw you in much more than most of the other work there.
Good to see you again Internet, I hope your day is as good as I hope mine will be.

  1. Mike Graves says:

Hello, Thanks for the kind words my man, I’m so glad you liked it. I just wanted to say that my piece was an original, definitely not a print.
